Prepare for day one
We've put together some information to help guide you through your first day. If you have any questions, please contact your Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS). You’ve got this.
Positive test for COVID-19
Only employees working in California should notify State Farm Employee Health Services (EHS) if they have tested positive for COVID 19 and have been in the workplace/office 10 days prior to symptom onset/positive test. Speak with your leader to submit the Covid 19 Notification to EHS form.
All employees who test positive for COVID-19 should comply with the following State Farm Covid-19 health and safety protocols
- Remain out of the office or worksite (including mobile/proximity/catastrophe) until at least 5 days from symptom onset AND you are fever-free for 24 hours without medication, AND other symptoms are improving.
- Notify your leader if you are unable to report in person for your shift.
- Upon returning to the workplace, wear a face covering until 10 days from positive test or symptom onset.
- Employees in all locations who believe they have tested positive for Covid due to work related exposure should complete an Incident Accident Report.
What if you were exposed to COVID-19?
If you were exposed (exception for California employees) to COVID-19 and are not ill, you may be in the workplace and wear a face coveringfootnote * for 10 days from the date of exposure and monitor for illness. You are strongly encouraged to test on day 6 after exposure in accordance with CDC guidance. If you become ill, you are encouraged to leave the workplace and discuss with your leader State Farm health and safety protocols.

If you are ill
You are encouraged to monitor your health and stay home if you are ill.
Notify your leader if you are unable to report in person for your shift. If you can work remotely and are well-enough to work, discuss this option with your supervisor.
